ADOPT A PLAYER
Each year, more than
250 players from all across our great nation come to Kansas
to play baseball in the Jayhawks League.
Most
players will arrive in El Dorado sometime between Memorial Day and June 1st.
The regular season starts June 1st and ends August 15th. These young
aspiring ball players continue to hone their baseball skills playing over 50
games during their time in El Dorado.
Host
families will provide a home, a bed, at least one meal per day, and laundry
facilities during the baseball season. Also, you would provide the player
with lots of moral support. The player becomes a member of your family while
they are away from their own families.
Hosting a player can be a rewarding experience. Some of the benefits are
